If one fashion house has stood the test of time, it’s Christian Dior; a house that has seen an array of successors through good times and bad. Christian Dior, the man, was the brain behind the New Look, inspiring the desire for glamour after World War I, by re-introducing shapes, silhouettes and garment details after clothing was stripped down to basics for the war effort. Christian Dior brought back the idea of Fashion to the consumer as the exciting and alluring industry it is today.

After his abrupt death, Dior’s fashion empire saw a timeline of many talented individuals to succeed him. From the young Yves Saint Laurent in the late 1950s, to conservative Marc Bohman in the 1960s to the highly controversial John Galliano up until last year; Christian Dior remains a prominent house in the fashion world. With the announcement of Raf Simons as Dior’s newest couturier in succession, Dior will continue to grow and change with each amazing collection.
